“Ban the Bombs” by David Savage Chorus Ban the bombs, ban the bombs / Ban, ban, ban the bombs Ban the bombs, ban the bombs / Or else we'll all be dead. Verses Bang! You're dead and your family's dead / Your friends are dead; everyone's dead Maybe today and maybe tonight / Unless we ban the bombs. Your mother will die and your father will die / Your brothers will die and your sisters will die Your daughters will die and your sons will die / Unless we ban the bombs. No more work and no more play / The image of death is here today We've got to find a better way / Than dropping lots of bombs. Plenty of bombs for everyone / Hundreds of million megatons A nuclear war cannot be won / We're going to stop the bombs. Copyright © 1982, 2001 David M. “Stop the Bombs and Stop the War” by David Savage Chorus Push the button; close the door / No one's living anymore I say no and I say now / Stop the bombs and stop The War. Verses Push the button; start The War / We won't be here anymore Nothing living for ten thousand years / No one to cry a single tear. No one to laugh; no one to love / No early flight of the mourning dove The flight of bombs will be the last / No more future; no more past. We have power; we have choice / We have hands; we have a voice We must be heard before the roar / Stop the bombs and stop The War. Now or never we must speak / We might not have another week Another day, another hour / We must exercise our power. Copyright © 1982, 2001 David M. The Last War 08:07
“The Last War” by David Savage Chorus Our life is in our hands. / Our hearts, our voices must create the plan / for love and peace, the Earth around now. Verses The next war will be The Last War / 'cause there won't be any more / people to hate or to fight. The Last War will be forevermore / and evermore and evermore, / an unending, unbroken night. The next war will say it all. / Humanity couldn't hear the call / for world peace, nor the good song of life. The Last War is just down the road / unless you and I take up the load / and speak up and speak out and make things right. The next war will be The Last. / It's coming soon and it's coming fast / unless you and I disarm all the bombs. The Last War might start tonight / by accident. An ungodly light / will radiate the tomb once called Earth. The next war might start today. / It might be only a minute away. / We might already have seen the last birth. A tragedy befell this race. / No epitaph would mark our place. / A burnt-out Earth drifting through space, I see. Unless we act, and quickly now, / for death approaches in a cloud, / so sing for peace and sing it loud, my friends. The next war will be The Last War. / This horror tale is a true story / unless we turn to love and peace our tale will end. No one will see the humans fry. / No one will hear the final cry. / But just the same, the Earth will die a final death. No second chance, we've had them all. / The Last War will be the final call, / the curtain falling down on our heads. The end of day, the end of night, / the end of wrong, the end of right, / the end of could have, the end of might, all gone. The next war will be The Last War. / The final score: all hits, no runs. / Zero ground for everyone, losers all. Our children fear they won't grow up / and they are right, unless we stop, / the bombs will drop on everyone, sweetheart. The future now is up to us. / Do we want to try? Do we care to trust / the best in us? In faith, we must, at last. Copyright © 1982, 2001 David M. Savage Davidsavage.bandcamp.com music@savageheart.com

“Where Will You Be When the Bombs Start to Fall?” by David Savage Verse 1 I see lots of countries stockpiling lots of bombs / while lots of children go hungry and lots of farmers lose their farms. There's lots to go around but some few people want to keep it all, and tell me Where will you be when the bombs start to fall? Oh tell me, where will you be when the bombs start to fall? Verse 2 Computer controlled missiles, lasers shot from space / Once we were human, now we're just the arms race Someone's gonna push the button to save face and end it all, and tell me Where will you be when the bombs start to fall? Oh tell me, where will you be when the bombs start to fall? Bridge What will you be doing when the skies fill up with flame? When the world blows up 'cause love is lost, in a game too terrible to name When we face our shame in the final flash, whose name will you call? and tell me Where will you be when the bombs start to fall? Oh tell me, where will you be when the bombs start to fall? Copyright © 1985, 2001 David M. Savage Davidsavage.bandcamp.com music@savageheart.com

“We're All Gonna Be Mutants” by David Savage Chorus We're all gonna be mutants, mutants / I'll grow another head or two We're all gonna be mutants, mutants / radioactive heirs/airs/errors for me and you. Verse 1 Someone stole the plutonium / now they're gonna make a bomb Ransom New York City / but there's every reason to stay calm. Verse 2 The missiles aren't aimed at anyone / they're just there to keep the peace One computer error is all it takes / to make ashes out of West and East. Bridge And it's going to be a very long cold winter / radioactive night, and I don't want to hang around I'd rather split in a flash at Ground Zero / than glow and slowly fade when there's nothing left but zero ground. Verse 3 Someone's gonna push the button / and it just might be today Accept this as reality / or find a better way. Copyright © 1985, 2001 David M.
