Most people can’t understand what the animals are saying,
so we have to speak for them.

Animals are alive for their own purposes, not ours.

Chorus 1

We are all animals, so let's all be friends, let's all be friends.
We are all animals. We are all Earthlings, and our kinship never ends
Always friends, loving friends, animal friends.

Verse 1

I'm an animal. Please don't eat me.
I speak a language just like you, you have a lot to learn from me.
I speak cluck, oink, quack, baa, moo.

Verse 2

I'm an animal. Please don't hurt me.
Pigs are cleaner than your dog, and we’re smarter than your dog.
And you don't eat your dog, so please don't eat me.

Chorus 2

We are all animals, so let's all be friends, let's all be friends.
We are all animals. We are all Earthlings, and our kinship never ends
Always friends, loving friends, animal friends.

Verse 3

I'm an animal. Please don't kill me.
I know who I am, and I know who you are.
I've got a social life and friends. Please don't eat me.

Verse 4

I'm an animal. Please don't eat me.
Chickens have eyes and ears like you
Cows have a face and we say “moo”
Sheep have nose, mouth, tongue to "baa"
Goats have two more legs than you
We eat and talk like you
We play and love like you
We are born and like to learn
We grow up and want to be free
We have hearts that beat like yours
Please don't eat me.

Bridge

Sometimes at night when I am dreaming
humans are not cruel and do not kill us.
Then when I awake it’s all so senseless,
so painful past belief that humans eat us.
Sometimes when I dream I have a vision
of a world where no animals are eaten.
A world filled with loving and compassion
with everybody eating only plants, only plants!

Instrumental Interlude on Verse (2x)

Chorus 3

We are all animals, so let's all be friends, let's all be friends.
We are all animals. We are all Earthlings, and our kinship never ends
Always friends, loving friends, animal friends.

Verse 5

I'm an animal. Please don't eat me.
Pigs have feelings just like you, we have children like you do.
Pigs are smarter than your average human three year old.
And you don’t eat your average human three year old.

Verse 6

I'm an animal. Please don't hurt me.
I've got a life I want to live. You've got a life you want to live.
I don't eat you and I don't want you to eat me.

Chorus 4

We are all animals, so let's all be friends, let's all be friends.
We are all animals. We are all Earthlings, and our kinship never ends
Always friends, loving friends, animal friends.

Verse 7

I'm an animal. Please don't kill me.
What about the golden rule?
Didn't they teach you that in school?
Friends don't eat their friends, so please don't eat me.

Verse 8

I'm an animal. Please don't eat me.
We’ve got parents just like you.
We’ve got brothers and sisters too.
We’re a happy family. Please don't eat me.

Chorus 5

We are all animals, so let's all be friends, let's all be friends.
We are all animals. We are all Earthlings, and our kinship never ends
Always friends, loving friends, animal friends.

Chorus 6

We are all animals, so let's all be friends, let's all be friends.
We are all animals. We are all Earthlings, and our kinship never ends
Always friends, loving friends, animal friends, animal friends, animal friends.
